What´s new with SPIS programme

 

Inception workshops with targeted municipalities within the Phase III of SPIS programme

Initial one day training has been conducted for the representatives of the following municipalities: Kupres, Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje, Mrkonjic Grad, Posusje, Gacko, Celinac and Prnjavor. It covered recent reforms in medium-term budget planning process, submission of new expenditure proposals in programme budget format, gender mainstreaming and GRB, and introduction to child budgeting principles. The capacity building for policy and finance officers has been concluded according to the SPIS Inception report.

The training was held with the following format and topics:

• Medium-term budget planning process, submission of new expenditure proposals in programme budget format After the presentation each department has developed their program statement including strategic goals, programs, activities and performance measures

• Gender mainstreaming and GRB Presentation and discussion on topic

• Introduction to child budgeting principles Presentation and discussion topic

Unfortunately representatives from the Velika Kladusa, Tesanj and Derventa municipalities and Brčko distrikt were not able to attend the training. The training for them will be organised by mid of May 2012;

The activity was completed in the last week of April 2012 for the following municipalities: Mrkonjic Grad, Kupres, Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje,Posusje, Gacko















 


Initial one day training for all the representatives of the municipalities Celinac, Prnjavor, Derventa and Tesanj was completed on 24/04/12
















 


Inception workshops for representatives of new target municipalities within the SPIS project

In two inception workshops, which took place in Teslic (23 and 24 February for Republika Srpska) and Sarajevo (27 and 28 February for the Federation of BiH) representatives from 10 target municipalities and Brcko District participated to better understand social protection and inclusion concept, programme objectives, structure, methodologies, partners and expected results of the EU-funded Programme “Enhancing the Social Protection and Inclusion System for Children in Bosnia and Herzegovina”. Work groups will define recommendations on key issues and agree on follow up actions for SPIS implementation at all levels.

 In the Phase III of SPIS programme (2011 – 2012), target locations will be: Brcko, Celinac, Derventa, Gacko, Gornji Vakuf/Uskoplje, Kupres, Mrkonjic Grad, Posusje, Prnjavor, Tesanj and Velika Kladusa.
